Episode 188: Standing Up

Jason and Kevin chat about the best NCAA athletes of 2013, Usain Bolt racing a bus, Hayward Field’s monopoly, a great race at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships and economic theorems about Kenyan distance running.

Also, the guys pick up the discussion of the “Space Race” movie, dig into some of the ideas of the American Track League and breakdown the “Chariots of Backfire” race.

  1. With comments on the HOR website being forgotten as emails on the show, I am hoping that I can be awarded legend status over time with most comments on the site that are not addressed.

Categories for awards – best pre or post performance dance, biggest DNS or DNF of the season, best episode of the year (I’d probably go with the Scherer interview or the Epstein interview), best human versus animal race.

  2. Shannon Scott aka Gunny

Just listened to the latest podcast and the topic of where to host NCAA ect. Beside Oregon the best place would be U of Texas. The Texas relays in Austin are major and bring in to s of people and cash.
