  1. What ever happened to … Tim Broe?
Actually also thought of Dan Browne but apparently he ran the last OT marathon trials and was the last finisher in the event.
    How about Daniel Lincoln?
Running has such a short attention fan base. We forget about guys so quick … people probably couldn’t name the three marathoners for the US in the Olympics but remember Rawdy Rawdy Piper and the Sheik and Randy Macho Man Savage without missing a beat.
Only medal that I could think of even in the same ball park as Owen’s would be Benoit’s gold from the first women’s Olympic marathon in LA in 84.
Rant of the week please – Christmas traditions that drive you guys nuts.

  2. Forgot to mention that in regards to the guy taking the medal-win for his 2:46 6k run …

Rock and Roll marathons actually allow people to actually “board a “sag wagon” shuttle to move forward on the course, where they may continue to participate in the event, maintaining the minimum pace required” (see http://runrocknroll.competitor.com/denver/event-details#event-guidelines) if they start to fall behind the course cutoff. Basically you can do the event in the back of a car and get your finisher’s medal. Everyone is a winner! YEEHA!

    Rant on.
